Region 15
One CHAMPIONSHIP, one RESERVE CHAMPIONSHIP and 5 TOP FIVES attest to the talent, willingness and teamwork of the horses and riders trained by Nathan Salamy of Copperhill Arabians. Way to go!
Austin Burger and Ransom’s next stop is Albuquerque, New Mexico for their first shot at a Top spot in the Youth Nationals. In the 14 months that Austin has been showing Ransom he has garnered SIX TOP FIVES at the Regional level and One Regional CHAMPIONSHIP! Evidence that he will be a strong contender in Albuquerque!
I Take You (Indy) celebrated her fourth birthday with an impressive week of showing, first going TOP FIVE at Region 14 and then going RES. CHAMPION at Region 15. She definitely is thrilling to watch and should be in the spotlight at the US Nationals this fall!
Abby Burger is the proud new owner of Surewin Williams….a stunning ¾ Arab black and white PAINT. She has selected a stunning outfit to compliment his gorgeous markings and they will definitely stand out in the show ring at next year’s Regionals! Thanks to our good friend, Kim Jenkner, for giving us the opportunity to have another of her great horses come to our barn.
Don Johnson joins the Amateur Team at Copperhill Arabians with his beautiful new, bay gelding CA Illustre. We know Don and Tre will hang many ribbons on the wall at the shows…Welcome Aboard, Don!
Rohara Moonstuk has been sold to a show home in the Region 15 area. It was love at first sight when the prospective buyers saw Hailey show him at Regionals. Now the hunt will be on to find a replacement so that Hailey can continue her winning!
Just three years old and already showing at Regionals, Camden Salamy was proud of the ribbon he won in Leadline…the only drawback was that he had to share the “trophy” (a box of animal crackers) with his little brother, Ryken.

A Very Special Honor
Nathan Salamy riding Peppermint Lace win the Dan Crawford Memorial
Perpetual Trophy in the Open Western Pleasure Championship.
Dan was a very special person and a dear friend who passed away
August 14, 2003. Nathan commented, when learning of the establishment
of the trophy, “Winning this trophy in honor of Dan is the
most important thing for me do at the Music City Show this year.” How
fitting that the Championship team of Nathan and Lace, who Dan
had “watched” for so many years would have their names
listed as the first winners on this beautiful ongoing trophy. Thank
you for all who made this trophy possible!
